Bibi Viro's Five Warrior Sons⁣

As mentioned in Episode 84, before Guru Hargobind leaves this world, he blesses his daughter Bibi Viro, saying that her sons will be great warriors. Her five sons, Sango Shah, Jeet Mall, Gulab Chand, Mahari Chand, and Ganga Raam are Guru Gobind Singh's first cousins. They fight in the Battle of Bhangani bravely and two of the five, Sango Shah and Jeet Mall attain martyrdom [shahidi] during the Guru's Victory. Guru Gobind Singh writes about their gallantry in his Bachitar Natak, which is translated below: ⁣

There [in the Battle of Bhangani] the merchant, the Exalted Sango Shah, stood in the battle in great anger, the beautiful five warriors [sons of Bibi Viro], their feet stood firm [in the Battle]. The headstrong Jeet Mal, and the great warrior Gulab Chand, looking at the battlefield, they turned red [in anger]. ⁣

Mahari Chand and Ganga Raam came in great determination, scaring off and conquering countless warriors. Laal Chand, who broke the incredible ego of countless tiger-like warriors, turned red in anger. ⁣

Mahari Chand, who killed many arrogant Khan warriors, came into the battlefield like an enraged vicious tiger.⁣
